There are many different RPA tools on the market, but the three most popular are UiPath, Blue Prism, and Automation Anywhere. The automation developer creates the scripts by referring to the previously created process definition document. There may or may not be coding required, depending on the tool chosen and the complexity of the process being automated. Once the scripts are completed, they are ready to be tested.
Once the development phase is complete, the scripts will be tested to ensure that they are working as intended. This is typically done by running the scripts in a test environment that simulates the production environment. Once the scripts have been verified as working correctly, they can be deployed in the production environment.
Deployment & Maintenance
Ongoing maintenance and monitoring are also a key part of the RPA life cycle. This includes making sure that the automation scripts are up to date and continue to work correctly as changes are made to the underlying process.
